Maven Mental Health
Billing & Consulting

About us

Maven Mental Health Billing & Consulting was founded on November 10, 2025, with a simple mission: to provide mental health professionals with reliable, transparent, and human-centered billing and administrative support. With over seven years of

experience serving therapists, prescribers, and Intensive Outpatient Programs, we understand the complexities of behavioral health billing — and the importance of getting it right.

We know that mental health providers do their best work when they can focus on client care, not insurance claims. That’s why Maven exists. We bring deep industry knowledge, responsive communication, and a solutions-focused approach to every practice we support. Think of us as a therapist helper.

Our leadership reflects our values of precision, compassion, and integrity.

  • Francis Fletcher, CPRS, serves as our President and Founder

  • Taryn Fletcher, our Lead Consultant, specializes in mental health billing workflows, insurance navigation, and operational consulting for smaller group practices, private practices, and outpatient programs.

At Maven, we believe billing should be straightforward, transparent, and stress-free. Whether you’re a solo practitioner or a growing program, we’re here to help you streamline your processes, reduce denials, and protect your revenue.

~Maven Services~ we take care of all aspects of billing from start to finish.
For four years, I was the only biller at the practices in which I worked. I

had to figure out all aspects of mental health billing during this time.

When we say “All Aspects of Billing from Start to Finish”, we mean it!
Whether you are a brand new private practice looking to set up an EMR

and/or electronic payments, we’ve got you covered. If you need a demo-

graphic update, credentailing/re-credentialing, or perhaps you just

are looking for someone who knows what they are doing to bounce ideas

off of, we’ve got you covered. I’ve done it all! I’ve worked with just about

every insurance company performing all tasks needed for a successful

practice.

Maven Mental Health Billing & Consulting is moldable.
Every practice has it’s own culture, values, and purpose, and we work hard
to honor those while also maximizing revenue in a thoughtful, ethical way.

For example, if you are  considering using a collections agency, we can

provide vetted recommendations and manage that process on your behalf.

If collections do not align with your philosophy, that is absolutely
respected — there are creative, client-centered alternatives that we are
happy to explore with you. We understand the sensitive nature of therapy

billing and approach all client communication with care and compassion,

while also knowing when and how to firmly advocate with insurance

companies to resolve discrepancies, clarify denials, and push back when

needed.

This approach is deeply informed by my background in Journalism. I have

a degree from Northeastern University, with a focus on investigative

journalism. I am a natural investigator by nature — curious, detail-
oriented, and persistant . Shortly after graduating, this instinct cost me a

role as a Food Writer at a magazine. I was invited to apply and part of the

application was that I had to submit a written piece of my choosing. When
I pursued a story that uncovered inconsistencies and misrepresentation

by a local bakery owner, rather than  delivering the expected puff piece,
I was denied the  job. While that experience, amonth others, redirected
my path, it solidified a core strength I bring to Maven today: the ability to

ask the right questions, follow the details, and uncover the truth beneath

the surface — skills that translate directly to effective billing advocacy,
insurance follow-up, and revenue protection for mental health
practitioners.

Maven Mental Health Billing & Consulting may not be the right fit
for *every* practice
and we want to communicate that effectively. We

believe that the strongest leaders are aware of their strengths and weak-

nesses. Maven is ideal for smaller practices (under 50 clinicians) that bill

for therapeutic services (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PhD), medication

management, and/or Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). We use CPT and

add-on E/M codes to maximize reimbursement.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions — we’re always happy to help.
